Whenever I open a new worksheet there is no response to the keyboard. I keep trying and eventually a worksheet will open that responds to the keyboard. A workaround is to start a new instance of Maple, open a worksheet, copy its contents to a blank worksheet, and hope I get response to the keyboard.

I can't reproduce this problem. I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 on a Pentium 4, and have not encountered any problems. Can you give more details? Which version of Ubuntu? Any special language support? What CPU? Standard or Classic or both? .mw or .mws files or both? Do you have write permission on the files? I am running Ubuntu 8.04 on a Intel Core 2 Duo. English version. Dunno what you mean by 'standard or classic'? Using .mw files. I dunno if I have write permission, I just click new file. Though since this is a periodical problem, and it returns once in a while, I don't think that is the problem. Sometimes it occurs in the middle of a worksheet.
